Electrician

Analyzes and corrects all electrical problems. Repairs, replaces, and overhauls all electrical equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains electrical systems throughout district facilities.

• Responds to electrical emergencies and power outages, including changing out transformers, breakers, switches, and outlets

• Assists other crafts in troubleshooting electrical control problems related to systems.

• Orders material and completes work orders. Attends training sessions.

• Repairs interior and exterior lighting systems.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education: Vocational / Technical / Business School
Work Experience: 3 to 5 years
Type of Skill and/or Required Licensing/Certification: Licensed Electrician Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier), Hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver), Power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill, pheunomatic hammer), Vehicles (e.g., automobile, truck, tractor, forklift).
